MEET THE TEAM BEHIND PIN CANCER

We are wrestling's nonprofit. Founded by wrestlers for wrestlers.

DAN TRAMONTOZZI
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, BOARD PRESIDENT

Former DI wrestler, Dan founded Pin Cancer in 2012 after receiving the news his mother had been diagnosed with stage 3 Ovarian Cancer. What started out as a small grassroots campaign in Northern, NJ selling t-shirts at local matches - Dan used his marketing background to turn the organization into a nationally recognized nonprofit over the years. If you have ever interacted with Pin Cancer in any way, Dan was behind the planning, designing, and execution.

ERIC SHAW
DONOR RELATIONS, BOARD MEMBER

Former DI wrestler and teammate of Dan's while in college, Eric has an incredible passion for wrestling and helping those in need. He joined the Pin Cancer team in 2021 after raising funds for a youth wrestler in his town who was battling cancer. Eric has played an enormous role in helping expand Pin Cancer's mission and reach through networking, partnering with brands, and building relationships that promote the organization in a very positive way.

ROB SCHMIDT
CORPORATE SPONSORS, BOARD MEMBER

Rob joined the team in 2023 after getting his son involved in the Wrestle for a Cure Campaign (where he raised over $15,000!) A former wrestler, Rob brings a great wealth of knowledge and unmatched mindset when it comes to building relationships and onboarding new sponsors. Rob is currently undergoing treatment after being diagnosed with cancer - so this is personal for him. His drive to help others inspires us to fight even harder to make a difference.

SKYLAR GROTE
GROWTH MARKETING MANAGER

One of USA Wrestling's most talented athletes, Skylar joined the team in 2024 to take Pin Cancer's reach to the next level. A recent MBA graduate with a focus in marketing, Skylar has already made an impact on our organization's awareness and engagement. She brings so many great fundraising ideas to the table and we're happy to have her, as well as support her on her continued success on the mat!

Having lost my father to cancer, and my mother being a survivor, I certainly have an emotional interest in generating funds for cancer research. What better avenue for me to support this important cause than wrestling's Pin Cancer?
